Warner Bros World best rides revealed as we take a first look inside Abu Dhabi’s new theme park

Ever wanted to help Superman battle alien hordes in futuristic Metropolis or foil the Riddler’s fiendish schemes in dark and dangerous Gotham?

And have you ever wanted to do it in a huge, fully immersive, state of the art air-conditioned complex with five different zones with surprises round every corner?

The new Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi can help you live out all these dreams – and away from that searing desert heat.

One of the world’s biggest indoor theme parks is just about to open on the pleasure island of Yas in the UAE country – and Mirror Online got a sneak peek.

Divided into six separate lands, all accessible from the central Warner Bros Plaza, it’s fun for everyone from superhero thrill-seekers to kids who just want to see Jerry give Tom his comeuppance.

The six zones are the Warner Bros Plaza, Metropolis, Gotham City, Cartoon Junction, Gulch Canyon and Bedrock.

Inside the plaza

All are different, and have their own lighting and 3D effects, from the darkness of Gotham to the multi-coloured tomfoolery of Cartoon Junction.

The massive indoor complex has secrets to discover in every part. Delve inside Tom and Jerry’s house and find rollercoaster hidden in the back.

Best attractions and rides

Best scare: Riddler’s Revolution

That Riddler fella always likes to put his enemies off balance, and he’s found the perfect way to do it here.

In his rundown warehouse liar, strap yourself in on his dizzying disc as the ride spins you around and around and up and down for two minutes of nauseating mayhem.

You travel through city mists into the inner reaches of Gotham as the Riddler tries to mess with your mind.

In fact you’ll think you’re heading right into the scenery as it pushes you higher and higher and faster and faster.

When the unsettling madness finally ends you’ll be unsteady on your feet but eager for more.

Best interactive: Animayhem

Every one wants to be Acme employee of the month, don’t they? Just think of the bonuses you’d get from shipping stuff out to Wile E Coyote….

Well in the fully-interactive Animayhem experience you try and stop the Looney Tunes Universe descending into (more) chaos.

Acme needs your help, so put on your special 3D glasses and pick up your barcode scanner. That doesn’t sound a laugh riot, but it’s more fun than you imagine.

You’re then whizzed round cartoon landscapes in a car full of six eager shooters as you’re taken on a tour of the Looney Tunes world shooting parcels with your scanner to get them posted.

The more you get, they higher the points total as you try and beat your opponents to the best score possible.

All your favourite characters egg you on as you zip through their own piece of the Looney Tunes universe shooting as you go.

But keep your wits about you as it can all get a little hectic as you bid for the the bragging rights at the end of the ride.

Best family fun: Fast and Furry-ious

Ever seen the cartoon where Wile E Coyote straps the ACME rocket to his back and fires himself after the elusive Roadrunner?

If you’ve ever thought ‘that looks a good idea’ then this ride is for you.

The short but sweet rollercoaster set in the distinctive canyon where the two enemies are locked in an immortal battle fires you up a mountain – then down it like a rocket.

Not too fast or scary for younger riders, the Looney Tunes ride twists and turns as you fly over the heads of people in Gulch Canyon, your legs dangling in the air as you try and catch up that Roadrunner.
